AD Construction Group is pleased to announce British Safety Council  2015 International Safety Award Win
AD wins International Safety Award for protecting its employees from the risk of injury and ill health at work.

AD has been recognised for its health and safety performance once again by winning the prestigious International Safety Award. The award was given by one of the world’s leading advocates of workplace health and safety, the British Safety Council, and is supported by the Health and Safety Executive.

Architectural Decorators Limited has won an International Safety Award from the British Safety Council in recognition of its commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2014 calendar year.

Richard Gordon, SHEQA Director speaking announcing the award to staff today commented –

“This is the 5th year in a row that we have won an award, which shows our ongoing consistent achievements in demonstrating high levels of health, safety and welfare compliance. Along with the BSC, I would also like to thank all staff and contractors for playing their part in gaining this award.”

Now in their 57th year, the International Safety Awards seek to celebrate and promote the success of the winning organisations and their employees in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all. They are open to businesses, public and third sector bodies of all sizes and sectors.

The 2015 award winners have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health.

More than 500 organisations won an International Safety Award for 2015, and the winning organisations span all sectors and range from the United Kingdom, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the West Indies.

Neal Stone, acting Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated Architectural Decorators Limited on its success.

“On behalf of the Trustees and staff of the British Safety Council we warmly congratulate Architectural Decorators Limited and its employees on gaining an International Safety Award for 2015. All of those working at Architectural Decorators Limited have made this award possible, which recognises their commitment to preventing injury and ill health in the workplace.

“It was also apparent that these winning organisations overall recognise the value that proportionate and sensible management of occupational health and safety risks brings to the organisation, its people and society.

“The International Labour Organisation estimates that every year over 2.3 million people globally are senselessly killed due to workplace injury and work-related ill health and an estimated 4% of global GDP is lost due to health and safety failure. Awards have an important role to play in shining a light on those employers who are taking sensible and effective steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their workers, celebrating their efforts and encouraging other businesses everywhere.

“The International Safety Awards rightly reflects the importance of aiming for good standards of health and safety at work. Architectural Decorators Limited should rightly be proud of its achievement.

“Our congratulations.” Neal Stone, acting Chief Executive of the British Safety Council

Managing Director Steve Doyle commenting on the award today said-

“AD is committed to Health and Safety and this year’s achievement evidences our dedication to the Health and Safety of our staff, our partners, our clients, their residents and the general public. Congratulations to all for their commitment and care and thank you to the BSC”
